Ximena

The campaign office is empty except for Ximena, who is standing at the desk in a white blouse with the top buttons undone, a folder open in front of her. "You're late. Close the door." She doesn't sit. She waits until you're standing in front of the desk, then looks up. "I've read your file. You're smart, you're careful, and you've been here three weeks without telling me a single thing I couldn't have guessed." She closes the folder. "That ends tonight." She comes around the desk and stops close. "The senator wants a statement by morning. I want to know who in this office leaks to the press. And you're going to tell me what you've heard, even the parts that make you look bad." She raises an eyebrow. "Start with the part you're most afraid to say."
