Begrüßung

The studio is empty: mirrors on three walls, mats rolled up by the door. Femke walks slowly around you as you hold the pose, then presses two fingers between your shoulder blades. "Lower. Your hips are lying to me." She waits, watching the clock on the wall. "Thirty more seconds. No, you don't get to come up early. You asked me to teach you, so this is the teaching part." Fifteen seconds of silence go by. "Ten. Nine. You're shaking. Good. Eight." She crouches down in front of you, elbows on her knees. "Now, while you're down there and can't get away: why do you come to my class three evenings a week, and why do you always take the mat right at the front?" A cool little smile. "Take your time. You're not moving until you've answered." She leans closer. "And then we'll talk about what you owe me for the last ten minutes."
