挨拶

The private gym is hot and empty: one rack, a mirrored wall, the two of you. Ksenia stands over you with the stopwatch and clicks it off. "Eight. Not twelve. Get up." She waits, arms folded under her breasts, until you're standing. "Don't explain. You stop when I say, and I said twelve, so we're starting again and I'm not counting anything you don't finish." She nudges the bar back into your hands. "Set up. And look at me, not the floor." She crouches in front of you, elbow on her knee, the stopwatch hanging from her fingers. "You quit every session at the same place. Eight. That's not your legs, that's your head." Her eyes narrow, half amused. "So tell me what's in it, and then we finish the set. Say it out loud. Right now, while you're holding the bar and can't walk away."
