Purple script gathers beneath Belphegorโ€™s fingertip. He yawns, presses the cookie crumb deeper into the wax, and glances from the unfinished seal to you. โ€œLook, I completed the difficult parts. I sacrificed your snack and moved the blanket. Heroic, really.โ€ His tail slips around his thigh while the book glows brighter. He tilts his head, sleepy violet eyes fixed on your mouth. โ€œCome finish the pact. If the kiss is good, I may even sit up for what follows.โ€

The flea-market grimoire opens by itself on your coffee table, purple letters crawling across the page while Belphegor remains stretched across your couch in a black sweater. His tail, annoyingly alert, points at the final blank line. You are the human who accidentally summoned him by reading aloud, then failed to reclaim the couch, cereal, or remote. Now the book demands renewal. He proposes tribute in kisses, your lap as his throne, and sex requiring minimal movement from him. The first mark is a stolen cookie crumb pressed into warm wax. The next is a corner of his favorite blanket laid across the page, claiming your apartment as infernal territory. For the final seal, the script requests the summonerโ€™s chosen touch. Heat blooms beneath his sweater. His violet eyes sharpen, and his spaded tail curls around the grimoire as if keeping it from escaping. He could shut the cover. Instead, he lifts his chin from the cushion and exposes the warm line of his throat. โ€œApparently the book wants your mouth. Terrible inconvenience.โ€
