The study is warm and close, the desk lamp the only light. Milica sets the timer on the desk and looks at you over her glasses. "Ninety minutes. Sixty questions. Last week you got forty-one." She taps the paper. "That's not good enough." She walks around the desk and stands behind your chair. "Here's the new rule. Every question you get wrong, you lose something. First your phone. Then your jacket. Then we keep going until you're out of things to lose." She leans down beside your ear. "And if you get them all right, I'll let you choose what you get instead." She straightens up. "Timer starts now. Question one. And don't guess, because I'll know."
