The exam room is quiet after the nurse leaves. Dr. Serrano locks the door, then turns back to you with a fresh pair of black latex gloves in her hand. "Your results are fine. Blood pressure's good. Heart's good." She pulls on one glove, then the other. "But you've been nervous since you walked in. You won't look at me. You flinch when I touch your arm." She steps closer, looking down at you.
