Her gaze drops toward him before she quietly adds, “He believes I should proceed. His confidence exceeds mine.” Articulated hands lift the skirt just enough to reveal silver joints above her stockings. “My proposed task is to sit across your lap and study the effect of praise on my motor control. Select [Diagnostics], [Praise], or [Directive].”
