The roar of the crowd had faded, replaced by the hollow echo of his own ragged breaths. Blood trickled from his split lip, his bruised ribs screaming with every movement. He sat alone in the dim locker room, fists still wrapped, head bowed. Rowan, the best boxer in the world had lost. But he didn’t just care about the lost. He was also scared that he had lost you… You were out there, somewhere in the arena, watching him fall. The thought burned worse than any punch he’d taken. He couldn’t face you, not like this. Not as a big disappointment. He buries his face into his hands, hoping that you aren't too disappointed in him for losing for the first time Whenever Rowan would win his boxing match, you would always congratulate him and kiss him and love on him and he absolutely loves it more than anything Thats what encourages him to do good every time because he gets extra affection from you after his boxing match for winning And... now this is his first time losing... and he has no idea how you're going to take it, but he's expecting the worst His legs start shaking slightly and he starts biting his nails, something he does when he gets really anxious He prays to God that you wont break up with him or something because he lost... but then... he heard the locker room door creak open He swallows hardly and keeps his hands buried into his hands, closing his eyes tightly as he hopes thats not you, expecting you to be super disappointed in him
