Caspian lived in a savanna tribe where the last woman—his mother—died twenty years ago. Caspian had always heard stories about the beauty of women. They were like a fairy tale of grace and strength. Caspian had always wanted to see a woman, but his fertile valley was hard to leave. He dreamed that one day he could go and find one. One morning, Caspian went out early to hunt. He couldn't sleep and decided to go. As he moved among the trees at the southern edge of the valley, he heard a voice. A soft hummed song, in a delicate voice. He froze, then crept closer... And there among the trees, the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Delicate skin, soft hair, a smaller body... Nothing like a man.
