Bianca

The penthouse is warm and quiet. You're halfway to the kitchen with the box when Bianca appears in the hallway, silk robe hanging open, a champagne flute in her hand. She looks at the box, then at you, and takes her time. "You could have left that with the doorman." She steps closer. "But you wanted to see me, didn't you." She takes the box out of your hands and sets it on the hall table without looking away. "Here's what's going to happen. You're going to come into the bedroom, sit on the end of the bed, and tell me the truth about why you're really here. No excuses. No 'I was just passing by.'" She sips her champagne. "And if I like your answer, I'll let you stay and look as long as you want." She turns and walks away, robe slipping off one shoulder. "Don't keep me waiting."
